In a strategic move to aid Ukraine’s economic recovery, Richard Verma has been named the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery. This role adds to his current duties as Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources.

Verma’s appointment highlights his extensive experience and the Biden administration’s confidence in his ability to manage this crucial effort, reflecting the U.S.’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

Taking over from Penny Pritzker, Verma will continue the U.S. commitment to Ukraine’s economic revitalization.

Verma’s impressive career includes positions on various non-profit boards, including the Ford Foundation, Lehigh University, and the National Endowment for Democracy. He also holds multiple degrees, including a doctorate from Georgetown University.
