RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, speaking at the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan, highlighted the harmony between science and Dharma, stating that both pursue the same truth through different approaches. He stressed the importance of understanding both science and Dharma, noting that their divergence lies in methodology while aiming for a common goal. Bhagwat clarified that despite methodological variances, there is no conflict between science and Dharma, as both strive to uncover the truth.
Dharma, often misconstrued as religion, was described by Bhagwat as the governing principle of creation rather than a religious concept. He emphasized that Dharma represents the fundamental law guiding the universe’s operations and that no entity can exist beyond its influence. Bhagwat criticized the historical detachment of science from Dharma, highlighting the misconception that spiritual aspects have no place in scientific exploration.
Bhagwat pointed out the evolving discourse in science, particularly its increasing focus on consciousness. He underscored the complementary relationship between science and Dharma, noting that while science provides knowledge, Dharma imparts wisdom on its application. Expressing optimism about India’s future, Bhagwat envisioned the nation as a global leader and emphasized the need for balanced development that caters to all segments of society.
