Television star Rupali Ganguly reminisced about a childhood incident when she and her brother Vijay Ganguly were scolded by the late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor during a visit to Vaishno Devi. Rupali shared the story on her YouTube vlog, where she recounted how Rishi Kapoor had reprimanded them for riding horses instead of walking to the temple. The actress also mentioned that the visit coincided with the shooting of her father’s film “Pyaar Ke Kabil.”
The shooting of the film involved renowned actors like Rishi Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, Utpal Dutt, and Bindu. Rupali described how the climax of the movie was filmed at Vaishno Devi over a period of six to seven days, with the cast having meals in the langar downstairs. She highlighted Rishi Kapoor’s preference for walking up to the temple instead of using a horse or palki.
Rupali Ganguly expressed her emotional connection to Vaishno Devi, mentioning that she has been visiting the place annually since the year 2000 with her husband Ashwin. She referred to the place as her “maternal homes” and emphasized its significance in her life. Rupali, the daughter of filmmaker Anil Ganguly, grew up in a cinema-oriented family, where she was exposed to the film industry from a young age.
