Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss progress in various areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade, economic partnership, fertilizers, connectivity, and people-to-people ties. PM Modi highlighted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to India for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit, expressing satisfaction with the efforts to strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
During his visit, Manturov also held discussions with Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, focusing on enhancing trade and investment ties and addressing mutual interests. The Ministry of External Affairs welcomed Manturov to New Delhi, where he engaged in high-level talks covering defence, energy, trade, and various bilateral issues.
The visit included consultations with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and other bilateral meetings, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between India and Russia across multiple sectors.
