Comedian Samay Raina has announced his latest comedy special titled ‘Still Alive’, with the trailer released recently. The special showcases Raina’s authentic journey, portraying his unfiltered and raw experiences. It is a reflection of his true self, characterized by honesty, wit, darkness when necessary, and genuine humor.
This special follows a turbulent period marked by a controversy during the filming of ‘India’s Got Latent’, triggered by a comment from podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. The aftermath saw a series of legal issues, including FIRs in multiple states, involvement of national authorities like the National Commission for Women and the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, and even reaching the Supreme Court of India. Raina responded by removing all related content from YouTube and cooperating with authorities, including a lengthy interrogation session.
In August 2025, Raina made a comeback with the ‘Still Alive & Unfiltered India’ tour, starting in Bengaluru and Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam at Talkatora Stadium. The tour expanded globally to Europe, Australia, and North America, culminating in Raina becoming one of the youngest Indian comedians to perform at Madison Square Garden. This upcoming comedy special is hailed as Raina’s most intimate performance yet, blending observational humor with profound self-awareness gained from facing challenges head-on.
The premiere of Samay Raina’s ‘Still Alive’ comedy special is scheduled for April 8, 2026, on YouTube.
