A 15-foot sand sculpture of Lord Hanuman and a 7,000 kg ‘laddu’ were key attractions during the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations across the country. Sand artist Laxmi Gaud crafted the impressive sand sculpture at Juhu Beach in Mumbai, taking 15 hours to complete.
Gaud shared that the sand sculpture creation process began with a JCB machine collecting sand, starting from the face and using rangoli colors for painting. Expressing her devotion to Lord Ram, she emphasized the significance of Lord Hanuman’s devotion to Lord Ram in Hindu mythology.
In Gujarat’s Surat, devotees gathered at the Pardeshwar Mahadev Temple in Atal Ashram to offer prayers. Mahant Batukgiri Maharaj mentioned the preparation and offering of a massive 7,000 kg ‘laddu’ to Lord Hanuman during the festival, symbolizing the celebration of Lord Hanuman’s birth.
The ‘laddu’ was distributed as ‘prasad’ among devotees, with arrangements made for food and ‘prasad’ for thousands of people. Actress Riddhi Raval, seeking blessings at the temple, encouraged others to experience the devotion and partake in the 7,000 kg ‘laddu’ ‘prasad’.
