Scotland Women’s cricket team is set to prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 through a T20 tri-series against Bangladesh and the Netherlands at The Grange Club in May and June. Following the tri-series, Scotland will head to England for two warm-up matches before commencing their T20 World Cup journey against Ireland at Old Trafford on June 13. Captain Kathryn Bryce expressed her excitement about playing in front of home fans in Edinburgh, highlighting the significance of the upcoming matches in their preparation for the main event.
Coach Craig Wallace emphasized the importance of hosting the tri-series, stating that facing Bangladesh and the Netherlands on home turf is a significant step forward for the team. These matches serve as crucial preparation for the World Cup, providing the team with familiar yet strong opposition to enhance their readiness for the tournament. The tri-series, scheduled at The Grange Club, will kick off on May 28, featuring competitive matches among the participating teams.
