At least seven individuals were reported missing in recent days from Balochistan, Pakistan. Among them is Mehran Baloch, a nursing student, who was taken by Pakistani forces outside a local hospital in Bal-Nigor. Families of the missing individuals have not been informed about their whereabouts or the reasons behind their detention. Pakistani forces conducted cordon-and-search operations in Kharan, resulting in the disappearance of several young men, including Owais Ahmed Qambrani.

Residents in Kharan reported that Muneeb Siyapad, Makhfar Abid Siyapad, and Ahmed Siyapad were allegedly forcibly disappeared during operations. Additionally, Abdul Qahar and Musawwir Qambrani were taken from Quetta after raids in the Killi Qambrani area. While five previously missing men have returned home, a human rights organization has refuted the Balochistan government’s claim of resolving the issue of missing persons permanently.

The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) dismissed the provincial government’s assertion, stating that the problem of enforced disappearances persists. According to HRCB’s findings for 2025, 1,455 cases of enforced disappearance were documented, with 1,052 individuals still missing. The rights body emphasized that the situation of enforced disappearances in Balochistan remains unresolved and demanded the immediate production of missing persons before courts or their release.
