The filming for director Paul George’s pan-Indian Malayalam movie ‘Kattalan’, with actor Antony Varghese (Pepe) in the lead role, has been completed. Cube Entertainments, the film’s production house, shared the news on Instagram, announcing the wrap-up after a 140-day shoot. Initially set for a May 14 release, the film is now scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in May 2026.
The production house had previously paid tribute to the stuntmen involved in the film’s production. They released footage of a stunt sequence where a four-wheeler overturned, honoring the bravery of the stunt performers. ‘Kattalan’, a high-octane action thriller, has generated significant interest among fans and movie enthusiasts.
Producer Shareef Muhammed of Cubes Entertainments, known for the hit film ‘Marco’, is behind this ambitious project. Alongside Antony Varghese and actress Rajisha Vijayan, the movie features notable actors like Rapper Baby Jean, Telugu actor Sunil, actor Kabir Duhan Singh, and veteran Malayalam actors Jagadeesh and Siddique in key roles.
The film also welcomes actors Parth Tiwari and Anson Paul, along with promising talent Shon Joy, known for his debut in ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana (2025)’. The script, crafted by Paul George, Joby Varghese, and Jero Jacob, promises a gripping narrative of power, betrayal, and dangerous missions.
‘Kattalan’ boasts music by Ajaneesh Loknath, choreography by Sharief, costumes by Dhanya Balakrishnan, and cinematography by Renadive. Editing duties are handled by Shameer Muhammed.
