Singer Babul Supriyo discussed the imbalance between male and female singers in the music industry. He highlighted that male singers now often sing in higher octaves, leading female singers to adjust by singing in lower ranges, affecting voice quality. This shift has altered playback singing dynamics, with many songs no longer requiring lip-syncing but playing in the background instead.

Supriyo cited Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” as an example, noting its use as background music rather than for playback. He also commented on Arijit Singh’s decision to step back from playback singing, urging trust in Singh’s thoughtful choice. Supriyo emphasized Singh’s talent and suggested awaiting his future endeavors with anticipation.

Advising against unnecessary speculation, Supriyo encouraged patience to witness Singh’s upcoming projects, expressing admiration for Singh’s artistry and urging support for his future ventures.
