Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who is also the Parliamentary Board Chairperson, has been discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital after recovering from a systemic infection. She was admitted to the hospital on March 24 with fever complaints and received treatment from a team of senior doctors, including Dr. D. S. Rana and Dr. S. Nundy.
The hospital’s chairman, Dr. Ajay Swaroop, mentioned that Sonia Gandhi responded well to the antibiotics treatment and has now been released. She will continue her treatment and follow-up at home as per the hospital’s statement. This marks her second hospital visit this year, with the previous one in January for respiratory discomfort.
Sonia Gandhi’s son, Rahul Gandhi, had to cancel his Kerala visit following her hospitalization. He was scheduled to launch the party’s campaign in the state, with party president Mallikarjun Kharge taking his place. Additionally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Member of Parliament from Wayanad, visited Sonia Gandhi during her hospital stay.
