Soorma Hockey Club wrapped up their Women’s Hockey India League (HIL) 2025-26 season with a spirited 3-2 victory against Bengal Tigers in Ranchi. Despite the match being inconsequential as Soorma was out and the Tigers had secured a finals spot, both teams displayed intense gameplay, keeping the audience engaged till the end.

The game kicked off with Soorma taking an aggressive stance, putting pressure on the Tigers right from the start. Sonam scored the opening goal for Soorma in the 10th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead, which they maintained throughout the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Tigers tried to counter Soorma’s dominance but failed to break through. The halftime arrived with Soorma still in the lead. The third quarter saw a strong fightback from the Tigers, with Agustina Gorzelany equalizing the score at 1-1. However, Soorma regained the lead in the final quarter, eventually securing a 3-2 win.

The match concluded with Lalremsiami scoring for the Tigers in the dying minutes, but Soorma’s defense held firm to clinch their second victory of the season.
