In a significant development for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab, over 200 students and youth from Panjab University in Chandigarh, affiliated with the Hindustan Students Association, joined the party on Saturday. The induction ceremony was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, senior BJP leaders, and party members.
Addressing the gathering alongside State Vice-President Kewal Singh Dhillon and other party officials, Chief Minister Saini welcomed the new members into the BJP fold. He praised their decision as a vote of confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and vision.
Chief Minister Saini highlighted the significant progress India has made under Modi’s leadership, emphasizing infrastructure development, connectivity improvements, and global recognition. He mentioned initiatives such as Mudra Yojana, Start-Up India, Stand-Up India, and Make in India, aimed at empowering youth and creating employment opportunities.
Encouraging Punjab’s youth to shun drugs and engage in nation-building activities, CM Saini expressed optimism about the BJP’s prospects in the state. He urged the newly joined members to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and contribute to building a progressive and corruption-free Punjab.
