Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat impressed with figures of 3-21 as Sunrisers Hyderabad dominated Kolkata Knight Riders, winning by 65 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match at the Eden Gardens. Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 226/8, the highest total of the season, with Unadkat leading the bowling attack supported by Eshan Malinga, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Harsh Dubey.
This victory marked SRH’s first win of the season and the first successful defense of a total in this year’s tournament. Despite Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 52 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders struggled against SRH’s disciplined bowling, failing to chase the challenging target. The pacers utilized slower balls effectively, keeping KKR under pressure throughout the innings.
Finn Allen’s explosive start for KKR with 28 runs off seven balls was short-lived as Dubey dismissed him. Ajinkya Rahane and Raghuvanshi built a partnership, but Unadkat’s crucial wicket of Rahane and subsequent run-out of Cameron Green halted KKR’s progress at 74/3. Raghuvanshi’s fifty and brief resistance from Sunil Narine were not enough as SRH’s bowlers, especially Unadkat and Malinga, sealed the victory.
