Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticized the BJP-led NDA for neglecting key sectors like MSMEs and traditional weavers. Speaking at an election rally in Erode, Stalin blamed the Centre’s policies for worsening economic conditions, especially amid the crisis in West Asia. He highlighted the challenges faced by MSMEs in Tamil Nadu due to external shocks and lack of government support.
Stalin also opposed the NEET and CAA, stating they undermine Tamil Nadu’s interests. He accused the NDA government of disregarding the state’s requests to abolish NEET, which he believes disadvantages rural and underprivileged students. Additionally, he criticized the AIADMK-BJP alliance for not addressing state issues effectively.
The Chief Minister further condemned the Centre for not safeguarding Tamil Nadu’s weavers from international trade pressures. He criticized AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami for alleged favoritism in awarding contracts. Stalin expressed confidence that voters would reject the NDA in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the DMK-led alliance’s commitment to governance and social justice.
