Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to campaign in Virudhunagar and Madurai districts on Sunday. He will address public meetings and a roadshow in support of DMK and alliance candidates. Stalin recently spoke at public meetings in Nagercoil and Sankarankovil in Tenkasi district as part of his active campaign trail.
On Sunday, Stalin will lead a major public rally in Virudhunagar at Chathirareddiapatti along the Madurai four-lane highway. The event aims to garner support for candidates from seven Assembly constituencies, including prominent figures like Sattur Ramachandran and Thanga Pandian.
Following the Virudhunagar rally, Stalin will head to Thirumangalam in Madurai district for another public meeting at Rayapalayam. This gathering will focus on boosting support for nine DMK alliance candidates contesting in the district, including Palanivel Thiaga Rajan from Madurai Central.
Later in the day, Stalin will conduct a roadshow in Madurai city, covering a significant stretch from TVS Nagar bridge to Villapuram Jayavilas area in the Madurai West constituency. The roadshow is expected to draw large public participation as the DMK aims to solidify its voter base in the region.
Wrapping up the day’s campaign activities, the Chief Minister will fly back to Chennai around 7 p.m. as the Assembly elections draw near. Stalin’s extensive campaign efforts reflect the DMK’s push to bolster its presence in southern districts and garner support for alliance candidates in closely contested areas.
