IT services giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) disclosed a minor uptick in its last-12-months attrition rate to 13.7% in the fourth quarter, slightly higher than the previous year’s 13.5%. The company’s workforce expanded by 2,356 employees in the March quarter, reaching 584,519, up from 582,163.
The firm noted that women constitute 35.2% of its total employee base. Additionally, the headcount decreased by 30,906 from the first quarter of FY26 due to a restructuring initiative. On an annual basis, there was a reduction of 23,460 employees from the previous year’s 607,979.
TCS announced the implementation of annual salary hikes across all levels starting from April 1st. The Chief HR Officer, Sudeep Kunnumal, highlighted the company’s focus on developing an AI-first culture and equipping employees with AI-related skills to meet evolving customer demands.
In the January-March quarter, TCS recorded a 12% year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit, amounting to Rs 13,718 crore compared to Rs 12,224 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations also exhibited robust growth, rising by 9.6% year-on-year to Rs 70,698 crore from Rs 64,479 crore in Q4 FY25.
CEO and Managing Director K Krithivasan expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing the company’s third consecutive quarter of sequential growth.
