A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru as a techie couple took their lives. The wife jumped from the 17th floor upon discovering her husband’s body hanging in their residence. Police suspect that the wife’s extreme step was triggered by shock after finding her husband deceased.
The couple, identified as Bhanuchandra Reddy and Shazia, both software professionals from Telangana, were found in their Kothanur locality home. Bhanuchandra, who had been unwell, allegedly hanged himself in the flat while Shazia was away. Upon her return and finding him, she jumped from the apartment late at night.
Married for nine years, the couple had a history of disputes despite coming from affluent families. The police discovered a note left by Reddy, citing health reasons for his actions and absolving others of blame. The authorities have initiated separate investigations into the tragic incident.
In a separate but similar incident, a senior software engineer fatally stabbed his wife before taking his own life in Bengaluru’s JP Nagar area. The couple, Madhusudhan and Roopa, had been married for seven years and had a daughter. A troubled marriage led to a fatal confrontation at Roopa’s father’s birthday celebration, resulting in the tragic deaths of both partners.
