Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao stated that the recent municipal elections in the state indicate a significant change in its political scenario. He highlighted that the BJP’s performance in the elections reflects a growing acceptance among the public. The results showed a decline for the ruling party, BRS, and a less-than-expected performance by the Congress despite being in power.
The BJP leader emphasized the party’s success in winning two Municipal Corporations and emerging as the Single Largest Party in six Municipalities. He noted the party’s expanding influence across urban Telangana and its entry into Kothagudem. Ramchander Rao underlined that the BJP’s progress signifies a shift in public trust towards the party as a credible alternative in the state.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, representing the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat, pledged development for Karimnagar using central funds. He alleged a secret agreement between Congress, BRS, and AIMIM in Karimnagar, accusing them of offering money to voters and attempting to bribe BJP candidates.
