Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy criticized Leader of Opposition K. Chandrasekhar Rao for receiving over Rs 1.06 crore in salaries and allowances without attending Assembly sessions. Reddy urged Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to take action against absent MLAs who draw salaries. He highlighted KCR’s absence during a debate on the Governor’s address and questioned the ethics of public servants receiving pay without fulfilling duties.
Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of the Leader of Opposition’s presence in the Assembly for constructive discussions and state progress. He extended an invitation to KCR through the Speaker to participate in legislative activities. The Chief Minister expressed disappointment over KCR’s failure to welcome the new Governor and participate in key events at the Assembly.
Revanth Reddy criticized the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders for displaying arrogance and autocratic tendencies even after losing power. He condemned their lack of respect for democratic norms and traditions. The Chief Minister proposed the formation of a fact-finding committee to investigate encroachments and demolitions during the BRS regime and the current administration.
