Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy pledged full assistance to surrendered Maoists to aid their smooth reintegration into society. He emphasized the commitment to ensuring security and rehabilitation benefits for the former Maoists who have chosen to surrender. Six senior cadres of the banned CPI (Maoist) recently met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, where he personally assured them of support.
The Chief Minister engaged in a direct dialogue with the ex-Maoist leaders, commending their shift to democratic principles after years in the wilderness. He stressed the futility of violence in resolving issues, advocating for democratic avenues to fulfill people’s aspirations. Expressing gratitude, the surrendered cadres appreciated the government for facilitating their transition to mainstream life and requested enhanced relief and rehabilitation packages in line with neighboring states.
Acknowledging the surrendered Maoists’ desire, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with them at their behest, as confirmed by DGP Shivadhar Reddy. Over the past two years, a total of 591 Maoists in Telangana have reintegrated into society, leading normal lives. The police department’s collaborative efforts and the government’s improved rehabilitation policies have played a pivotal role in persuading top leaders to embrace mainstream society, placing renewed trust in the democratic system.
During their visit to the State Secretariat, surrendered Maoists, including prominent figures like Thippiri Tirupati alias Devuji and Malla Raji Reddy alias Sangram, met with the Chief Minister. The group also included former Central Committee members Thippiri Tirupati alias Devuji and Pulluri Prasad Rao alias Chandranna, as well as Bade Chokka Rao alias Damodar and Nune Narsimha Reddy alias Ganganna, who held key positions within the Maoist organization.
