Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to make arrangements for expanding ghats at major temples and tourist spots for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaram event. The review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister focused on development plans for temples and Pushkara ghats along the Godavari river basin, from Basara to Bhadrachalam. The officials presented detailed plans to be completed by June 2027 in preparation for the event.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy advised the formation of a committee of technical engineers to identify suitable locations for the Pushkaram. He urged the committee to conduct field visits and submit a report within 15 to 20 days. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for a thorough examination of the engineers’ report by the officials’ committee and subsequent submission to the Cabinet Sub-committee for approval.

To ensure timely completion of both permanent and temporary works, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of a structured plan. He also ordered the establishment of a dedicated “War Room” at Praja Bhavan to avoid coordination issues among government departments. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of addressing road infrastructure and connectivity challenges between different regions to prevent any disruptions.

Officials shared the development and expansion master plan of the Sri Gnana Saraswathi Temple in Basara with the Chief Minister during the meeting. The Chief Minister provided feedback and suggestions on the master plan to the officials, emphasizing the need for comprehensive planning and execution.
