In a tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Sikar district, three children lost their lives when a soil tunnel they were playing in collapsed. The children, Holash Meghwal (10), Gautam Saini (14), and Dipesh Nayak (12), along with their friend Krishna, had dug a tunnel under a mound of soil and entered it while playing. Unfortunately, the soil suddenly caved in, burying three of the children under debris while Krishna managed to escape.
Krishna, the lone survivor, tried to rescue his friends but failed to free them. The incident occurred in Ganeri village, under the Nechhwa police station, around 12:30 pm on Monday. Despite rescue efforts by villagers and police, the children could not be saved and were found dead after being pulled out from the collapsed tunnel.
The families of the deceased children are already facing hardships, with Holash’s father having passed away a year ago, leaving the family in a financially vulnerable state. Dipesh’s father reportedly died by suicide about two years ago. The tragic incident has drawn condolences from Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who expressed his sympathies and support for the grieving families.
