Three young men tragically lost their lives in a late-night road accident on National Highway 30 in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on near Chartola under Gadhi police station area of Bichhia tehsil. The collision was so severe that three riders died instantly.
The deceased individuals were residents of the Gadhi police station area, with two of them coming from Jamun Tola village under Karanjia Mal Panchayat, and the third from Karanjia Mal itself. One of the victims, 36-year-old Jagdish Yadav, worked as a power lineman and was on his way home from work at the time of the accident.
Local residents and police quickly responded to the scene of the accident. A police team from Bichhiya arrived promptly, secured the area, and initiated an on-site investigation. Meanwhile, the critically injured young man was rushed to Bichhiya Hospital for urgent medical treatment, where he remains in serious condition.
According to police investigation officer Monesh Mogre, the three deceased individuals were residents of Karanjia Mal and were traveling towards Mandla, while Jagdish was heading in the opposite direction. The collision occurred near a toll plaza, resulting in the deaths of three individuals except for Ram Prakash Uike. Initial police inquiries point to high speed as the main cause of the fatal crash, with other factors like poor visibility at night and mechanical failure not being ruled out.
Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident, including examining the vehicles involved and gathering witness statements. The police have registered a case and are advising motorists to adhere to traffic regulations, especially when driving at night. They emphasize the importance of avoiding overspeeding and ensuring the proper use of helmets and reflective gear.
