A one-year-old toddler, Karu Kumar, was discovered dead in Chulhari village, Nalanda, causing shock in the local community. The child, accompanying his mother for a family wedding, went missing amidst tensions arising from a dispute over a missing mobile phone. Allegations have been made against the child’s elder maternal aunt in connection with the death.
Serious concerns have been raised over the role of superstition and family conflicts following the tragic incident. The Station House Officer of Asthawan police station mentioned that the cause of death appears to be drowning, although murder allegations have been raised and are under investigation. Authorities have conducted a post-mortem examination and are proceeding based on the family’s complaint.
