Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha stated that the defeat of the Tipra Motha Party (TMP) in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections is inevitable due to alleged corruption and divisive politics by the regional party. Saha, addressing a rally, expressed certainty in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) victory on April 12, emphasizing its importance for tribal community development.
Accusing the TMP of betraying tribal people under the guise of unity, Saha urged for a significant win by the BJP for tribal progress. He criticized the TMP for inciting ethnic sentiments and emphasized the necessity of BJP’s success for the welfare of tribal communities.
Saha, during rallies in South Tripura and East Muhuripur Bhuratli constituency, highlighted the political landscape in the state and criticized the Leader of the Opposition for not contesting from a reserved tribal seat. Responding to opposition criticism, Saha defended against allegations of political bankruptcy and pointed out land encroachment issues within the opposition parties.
