Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha encouraged students to blend academic knowledge with modern technology and spirituality for a prosperous future. He highlighted the importance of education grounded in morality and practical skills. Speaking at the Golden Jubilee Year Celebration Festival of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), Saha stressed the significance of integrating textbook learning with real-life applications through technology.
Saha underscored the role of moral values in education, stating that a holistic approach is essential for individual growth in society. He referenced the National Education Policy (NEP), emphasizing its focus on contemporary and student-centered education. The Chief Minister praised the efforts to align technology with education, aiming to position India as a global education hub.
Acknowledging the TBSE’s journey since its establishment in 1976, Saha commended the board’s progress as it marks its golden jubilee. He urged the board to seek guidance from former officials to further enhance its operations. Saha also highlighted the positive impact of the NEP on students’ performance in TBSE examinations, calling for continued initiatives to improve academic outcomes.
The Chief Minister outlined various state government initiatives, including Nipun Tripura and Mission Mukul, aimed at strengthening the education system. Programs such as providing bicycles to girl students and launching the ‘Super 30’ project for higher education support were mentioned. Saha also noted the introduction of smart classrooms in schools and the establishment of new hostels for tribal students, emphasizing the government’s commitment to expanding educational infrastructure.
