Turkish Airlines introduces Denver to its USA-India route, offering one-stop flights through Istanbul

Major airlines from the Middle East are eyeing more destinations in the US, where Air India has yet to set foot. Air India’s plans for direct flights to Boston from India have fizzled out, while Etihad Airways has already linked Boston to India via its hub since March 31.

Turkish Airlines recently added Detroit to its network between the US and India, leaving Michigan Indians still waiting for Air India to fulfill their demand for direct flights between Detroit and India.

In the latest news, Turkish Airlines is set to launch services to Denver, Colorado in June this year. It will be the first and only Middle East carrier offering one-stop flights from Denver to India and other countries.

Turkish Airlines will be competing with Lufthansa and British Airways, the main players in international travel to Colorado. They both offer great deals for flights from Denver to Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai through IndianEagle.com, a popular air-ticketing partner for Indians in America.

Turkish Airlines’ flights between Denver and Istanbul will also provide connections to New Delhi and Mumbai. Initially, the Denver to Istanbul flights (TK202) will run three times a week, increasing to four times a week from July 14, 2024.

The schedule for TK202 in the first month of service, starting June 11, will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This will offer Indians from Colorado, Kansas, Utah, and Arizona the flexibility to plan their trips to India from Denver International Airport via Istanbul.

One of the greatest perks of flying Turkish Airlines is the layover in Istanbul, known as one of the best hub airports with free stopovers. Travelers with a significant layover can enjoy a free tour of Istanbul. Turkish Airlines also offers a generous check-in baggage allowance of 2 bags, a plus over Lufthansa, which only allows one check-in bag.

Turkish Airlines is reportedly operating Denver flights with an Airbus A350-900, one of the top aircraft in the fleets of major airlines like Air India, Lufthansa, Emirates, and Singapore Airlines. The A350-900 is a widebody, long-range passenger aircraft offering a comfortable economy class and luxurious cabins for business class travel.
