TVK leader Vijay altered plans for a public meeting in Kanyakumari district, opting for a major roadshow instead as campaigning for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections intensifies. Political parties are ramping up outreach efforts as the campaign deadline of April 21 approaches. Leaders like DMK president M.K. Stalin and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami are actively engaging with voters through public meetings and roadshows.
Vijay, campaigning vigorously with the ‘whistle’ symbol, canceled a public meeting at Vivekananda College grounds in Agasteeswaram, moving to a roadshow from Mahadhanapuram Roundabout to Zero Point in Kanyakumari. The sudden change led to the dismantling of the stage and equipment at the original venue, with Vijay set to campaign in key constituencies like Kanyakumari and Nagercoil.
Amid tight security measures, Vijay is expected to travel from Chennai to Thoothukudi by air before proceeding to Kanyakumari by road. The roadshow, anticipated to draw large crowds, is seen as a crucial element in boosting momentum for the election campaign’s final days.
