The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative, offering visa support to Indian nationals planning destination weddings in Abu Dhabi. This significant announcement was made amidst the bustling atmosphere of the Arabian Travel Market 2024, hosted from May 6 to May 9 at the prestigious Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Aligned with Abu Dhabi’s ambitious Tourism Strategy 2030, which sets the goal of welcoming 39.3 million visitors by the end of the decade, this new visa initiative marks a pivotal step towards achieving that target.
Acknowledging the burgeoning prominence of destination weddings, ADCEB has strategically included this segment in its portfolio, aiming to enhance both domestic and international tourism while bolstering the sector’s contribution to the GDP, slated to reach Dirham 90 billion by 2030.
India emerges as a focal point in this initiative, given its status as one of the premier markets for destination weddings globally. By offering comprehensive visa support, including cost coverage, ADCEB aims to position Abu Dhabi as the quintessential choice for weddings and celebratory gatherings of every magnitude.
This move not only underscores the Emirate’s commitment to hospitality but also serves as a platform to showcase its rich cultural heritage, diverse entertainment offerings, and breathtaking natural landscapes to a global audience, further solidifying its stature as a premier destination for unforgettable celebrations.
