Additionally, she expressed support for Guterres’ tenure as UN Secretary General and India’s commitment to multilateralism.
Guterres also engaged with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss inclusive AI development and the UN’s role in this endeavor. Both leaders underscored the significance of leveraging AI for global welfare and deliberated on UN reforms, particularly in amplifying the voices of the Global South. Guterres, in his address at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, highlighted the risks of AI fragmentation and advocated for global standards to ensure interoperability for optimal outcomes.
