Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan will lead a joint security and intelligence meeting in Jammu after holding separate discussions with key officials from J&K Police, CRPF, and BSF. The focus will be on anti-terror operations, counter-intelligence, and identifying terror collaborators. The Army is active in counter-infiltration efforts along the LoC, while the BSF secures the International Border with Pakistan.
The meeting aims to enhance operations against terrorists in the region, with a particular emphasis on cracking down on over ground workers who support terrorist activities. A joint strategy is expected to be devised to intensify operations against terrorists in the hinterland while preventing infiltration along the LoC and IB. Intelligence agencies stress the importance of dismantling the OGW network to weaken terrorist activities.
Recent drone activities along the IB and LoC will also be a focal point during the security review. This visit follows a recent security review by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. The joint meeting seeks to ensure the implementation of directives to escalate counter-terror operations and target terror infrastructure effectively.
