Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Harsh Malhotra, recently organized a public hearing at the Delhi BJP State Office to enhance public service and engage directly with the public. During the session, Malhotra attentively listened to the issues faced by citizens from various parts of the capital, demonstrating a commitment to swift issue resolution.
Malhotra highlighted the Bharatiya Janata Party’s focus on service and dedication as the cornerstone of its organizational ethos. He emphasized that the BJP’s role transcends politics, emphasizing its continuous efforts to tackle societal challenges across all segments. The minister underscored that service stands as the primary duty of the BJP, underscoring the party’s dedication to addressing public concerns.
The public hearing, overseen by the Delhi BJP Cooperation Cell, addressed a total of 38 distinct grievances raised by attendees. Concerns ranged from electricity and water supply issues to sewer blockages, damaged roads, sanitation problems, delays in social security pensions, and access to essential services like healthcare and ration cards. Citizens expressed optimism for prompt resolutions by presenting their longstanding issues directly to a public representative.
Malhotra, displaying a proactive approach, promptly engaged with relevant department officials to initiate resolutions on the spot for several cases. He directed officials to prioritize and swiftly address the complaints lodged during the public hearing, ensuring a time-bound resolution process. Matters requiring further attention were formally escalated to the respective departments with directives for immediate action, reflecting the government’s commitment to public welfare.
