Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H. D. Kumaraswamy appealed to the people of Karnataka to support the JDS party for a five-year term, assuring to eliminate the challenges facing the state. Addressing the Greater Bengaluru JDS convention, Kumaraswamy emphasized the need for a full mandate to address the issues effectively. He highlighted the deteriorating state of Bengaluru and stressed the importance of restoring its former glory.
Kumaraswamy credited former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda for initiating key development projects in Bengaluru, including the introduction of the Metro system. He expressed concerns over the current state of the city and emphasized the need for comprehensive urban planning and transparent governance. The Minister criticized the Congress government for alleged failures in governance, particularly in areas such as waste management and water supply.
Highlighting the challenges faced by Bengaluru residents, Kumaraswamy raised issues such as water shortages, inadequate infrastructure, and environmental concerns. He accused the government of neglecting critical sectors like education and urban development, citing instances of alleged corruption and mismanagement. The Minister called for a collective effort to address these issues and restore the state’s prosperity.
