Union Minister for Jal Shakti C. R. Paatil praised the Union Budget 2026–27 as a significant step towards comprehensive development, aiming at Viksit Bharat 2047. He emphasized the historical aspect of a woman Finance Minister presenting the budget for the ninth consecutive time, showcasing PM Modi’s commitment to women’s empowerment. Paatil commended PM Modi’s leadership, attributing India’s economic growth and global recognition to his visionary strategies.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s water situation, Paatil assured no water scarcity in the state’s future. He lauded Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s proactive approach in addressing water issues and advocating projects like Ramjal Setu and the Yamuna water agreement. Paatil mentioned the long-standing right of Rajasthan to Yamuna water and the recent signing of a significant MoU under PM Modi’s guidance.
Discussing infrastructure projects, Paatil detailed the PKC–ERCP (Ramjal Setu Link Project), highlighting the signed MoU between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The project, estimated to cost Rs 77,000 to Rs 1 lakh crore, is set to commence soon. He also mentioned the success of flagship schemes like Amrit Sarovar Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission, emphasizing their positive impact on groundwater levels and household water connections.
Paatil underscored the inclusive nature of the Union Budget, focusing on national development across various sectors and demographics. He noted the budget’s alignment with PM Modi’s vision of economic growth, public welfare, and capacity building under the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” Additionally, he highlighted provisions for national security, defence self-reliance, industrial development, and employment generation in key sectors like textiles, MSMEs, and infrastructure.
