The upcoming election in Davanagere South constituency, Karnataka, is seen as a significant indicator for the nation, according to Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Railways V. Somanna. Somanna expressed confidence in the BJP candidate, Srinivas Dasakariappa, stating that he will emerge victorious. He criticized the Congress for fielding candidates from multiple generations and emphasized the importance of the BJP’s success for the future of the country.

The Minister highlighted the crucial role of minority votes in Davanagere and suggested that their support for the BJP would send a strong message to the Congress. Somanna underlined the need for development in Davanagere, stating that the BJP’s win would pave the way for progress and self-respect in the region. He also mentioned the unprecedented nature of the current political scenario in Davanagere, with the outcome set to be decided on April 9.

Referring to the dominance of a single family in elections, Somanna emphasized the need for change and diversity in leadership. He pointed out the contributions of former MP G.M. Siddeshwara to Davanagere and expressed confidence that the BJP’s victory would continue the development trajectory. Additionally, Somanna defended his work in the railway sector in Karnataka, urging critics like Siddaramaiah to understand and respect differing viewpoints without unnecessary criticism.
