The United States conducted a massive military campaign named Operation Epic Fury, targeting more than 13,000 locations, resulting in the deaths of 13 American service members, as confirmed by the Pentagon. Air Force General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, highlighted the extensive scale and impact of the operations, emphasizing the rapid response to over 4,000 dynamic battlefield targets.
The campaign involved over 10,000 missions, including 62 bomber sorties lasting up to 30 hours round-trip from the US to strike Iranian targets. The operation successfully targeted various Iranian military infrastructure, including destroying ballistic missile storage facilities, drone storage sites, and air defense targets, significantly reducing Iran’s air defense systems by around 80%.
US forces also dismantled Iran’s command and control networks, striking over 2,000 nodes and disrupting its military coordination capabilities. Naval operations were equally significant, with the US sinking more than 90% of Iran’s fleet and destroying over 95% of its naval mines through numerous strikes.
The destruction extended to Iran’s defense industry, with approximately 90% of weapons factories hit, including those producing drones and missile components. Moreover, nearly 80% of Iran’s nuclear industrial base was affected by the operation, showcasing the extensive impact on Iran’s military capabilities.
