Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a visit to Singapore and Japan to attract global investors and secure big investments for the state. In Singapore, he met with Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and explored an airport logistics hub to gather insights for enhancing aviation infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. Several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed during the visit, including one for establishing a world-class cargo complex at Noida International Airport.
The Uttar Pradesh government, through its ‘Invest UP’ initiative, signed an MoU with Singapore Cooperation Enterprise to enhance institutional capacity, drive digital transformation, and improve infrastructure and industrial competitiveness in the state. Adityanath’s visit also involved discussions on strengthening bilateral ties, expanding investment partnerships, and exploring collaboration in various sectors with Singaporean officials.
During his Singapore trip, Adityanath visited the SATS Changi Airport Logistics Hub to observe advanced air cargo handling systems and signed an MoU with SATS Limited for developing a top-notch cargo complex at Noida International Airport. This partnership aims to boost trade, enhance supply chains, and create employment opportunities, positioning Uttar Pradesh as an attractive global investment hub.
The visit to Singapore is part of Uttar Pradesh’s strategy to achieve a $1 trillion economy target by 2027-2030. Adityanath will continue his tour in Japan from February 25 to 26, focusing on furthering investment prospects for the state’s growth and development.
