Varun Dhawan’s team has clarified that no fine or penalty has been issued to the actor in relation to the Mumbai Metro incident, dispelling recent reports suggesting otherwise. This clarification follows a viral video showing Varun doing pull-ups inside a Mumbai metro coach, which led to a statement from Mumbai Metro addressing rule violations. The Metro statement mentioned potential penalties or imprisonment for those causing nuisance or damaging public property under the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act 2002.
Now, Varun’s team has released a statement stating, “We would like to address the recent reports regarding Varun Dhawan and the Mumbai Metro. We wish to clarify that no fine or penalty of any kind has been issued to Varun.” The team expressed gratitude for the authorities’ cooperation in removing the earlier post and emphasized Varun’s respect for the city’s regulations and the Metro department’s efforts. They confirmed the absence of any pending issues and thanked the media for sharing the accurate update.
Varun Dhawan’s latest film, “Border 2,” is inspired by the 1971 war and real events. The movie is a presentation by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films, and boasts a strong production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, under the direction of Anurag Singh. On a related note, J.P. Dutta’s hit film “Border” was released in 1997, featuring a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, and others.
