Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will be heading discussions on enhancing access to justice through technology-based legal services at a National Consultation in New Delhi. The Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, is hosting this event to facilitate discussions, policy dialogues, and engagement with stakeholders. The consultation is part of the Tele-Law initiative under the Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice (DISHA) Scheme.
The National Consultation 2026, a Central Sector Scheme, is under the Access to Justice Division. Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will also be present at the consultation as part of the Department’s continuous efforts. The event will include the launch of the “Voice of Beneficiaries” Booklet 2025–26, which showcases stories of individuals benefiting from Tele-Law services, highlighting the positive impact of digital access to justice.
A detailed presentation on the progress of the DISHA Scheme throughout India will be provided, featuring live interactions with Tele-Law Panel Lawyers, Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), and beneficiaries. Additionally, a special segment will pay tribute to the National Song “Vande Mataram” on its 150th anniversary, performed by local artists to honor its historical and cultural significance.
The Consultation will also unveil a White Paper resulting from a Technical Session preceding the event, consolidating insights, recommendations, and best practices from experts and policymakers. An AI-powered chatbot, Nyaya Setu, will be introduced to serve as a digital link between citizens and legal services, offering instant legal information and guidance. Furthermore, legal awareness comic books developed with the National Law University, Delhi, will be launched during the event.
The gathering anticipates around 1,200 attendees, including officials from the Supreme Court e-Committee, National Legal Services Authority, members of the Bar, Government Counsels, Tele-Law Panel Lawyers, and Village Level Entrepreneurs.
