Actor-turned-politician Vijay has intensified his election campaign by releasing a lively song that is gaining popularity on digital platforms before the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The campaign track, titled “Ungal Vijay Naan Varen! Whistle Podu Ready Ah?”, sets the stage for his outreach as the state gears up for a crucial electoral battle on April 23 across all 234 constituencies.
As election activities pick up pace, major political parties like the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), along with their allies, have announced their candidates. New entrants such as Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) have also unveiled their full lists of candidates, adding to the competitive nature of the contest.
The nomination process commenced on March 30, marking a significant milestone in the election timeline. Candidates from various parties have begun submitting their nominations, leading to increased political fervor throughout the state.
Vijay, a prominent figure in the election, is running for office in two constituencies – Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchy East. He has already submitted his nomination in Perambur and has started campaigning, attracting sizable crowds.
The campaign song mirrors his political agenda by combining entertainment with a call for change. Featuring lines like “Mela Pogaudhu State, Enga Whistle Satham Ketta; Nallavanga Vaazha Nee Whistle-ku Adi Otu,” it urges voters to support a governance model centered on honesty and public welfare.
The song’s visuals and dynamic presentation have struck a chord with younger audiences and Vijay’s followers, leading to its widespread circulation on social media.
Political analysts observe that such campaign strategies are increasingly utilized to engage voters, especially in Tamil Nadu, where the realms of cinema and politics have long been intertwined.
With the polling day drawing near, political parties are anticipated to escalate their campaigns, setting the stage for a closely monitored Assembly election.
