TVK leader and actor-turned-politician Vijay is scheduled to head a crucial executive committee gathering of the party in Thanjavur on Wednesday. The meeting, set to take place on Pappadi Division Road near Thanjavur, aims to bolster the party’s organizational structure before the upcoming Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections.
Expected to convene district-level office-bearers and executive committee members, the event will see Vijay providing vital directives on party operations and organizational reinforcement. This initiative is part of TVK’s overarching strategy to fortify its organizational foothold, particularly in the politically significant Delta region.
In recent months, Vijay has orchestrated numerous large-scale public assemblies across various districts. These gatherings are now transitioning into structured meetings with party officials to streamline operations in preparation for the elections.
To accommodate participants, extensive arrangements have been made at the venue, including roofing structures, seating facilities, drinking water provisions, and medical assistance. Volunteers under the organizing committee are on hand to manage logistical aspects and assist attendees, with elaborate security measures in place to handle the expected influx of supporters.
As Vijay travels from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli before heading to Thanjavur, he is anticipated to address the gathering from a campaign bus within the meeting premises. Special precautions have been advised for pregnant women, elderly individuals, and those unwell due to crowd conditions and heat.
The event, permitted by the police under 52 conditions, will be broadcast live on television and social media platforms. Meanwhile, the TVK leadership has instructed district-level functionaries and IT wing members to refrain from discussing Vijay’s divorce proceedings to maintain focus on the party’s organizational endeavors.
