Weather conditions in Rajasthan are forecasted to stay active in the upcoming days, with consecutive Western Disturbances likely to affect the state in the first week of April. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 km/h) and isolated light rain are anticipated in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, the Shekhawati region, and parts of the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Tuesday.
According to the Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, Radheshyam Sharma, light rain may also occur at isolated spots in the Udaipur and Kota divisions on Wednesday, while the rest of the state is expected to remain predominantly dry. Starting from the night of April 2, weather activity is projected to escalate, with thunderstorms and rainfall expected in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Phalodi, and nearby areas.
The Meteorological Centre has indicated the likelihood of multiple active Western Disturbances during the initial week of April. A significant weather system is predicted to impact the state on April 3–4, bringing widespread thunderstorms and rain. Districts in the Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Kota divisions may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate rainfall during this period. Farmers are advised to take precautions to safeguard crops ready for harvest and produce stored in open fields or agricultural mandis, as they may be vulnerable to damage. It is recommended to cover or relocate grains and commodities to secure storage to prevent rain-related harm.
