West Bengal BJP President, Samik Bhattacharya, responded to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claims of the BJP bringing people from other states by humorously stating that they are actually bringing individuals from “Mars and Antarctica.” Bhattacharya dismissed allegations of influencing the upcoming elections with outsiders from Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing concerns about illegal infiltration and demographic changes in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. He highlighted the issue of migrant laborers leaving Bengal due to job scarcity but expressed optimism about their return, mentioning the arrival of 73 special trains with these workers.

Reiterating the BJP’s manifesto tailored to address the needs of West Bengal’s populace, Bhattacharya focused on provisions for women, youth, and farmers, particularly those cultivating potatoes. Confident in the BJP’s electoral success, he predicted a significant majority in the state elections and claimed that the public is determined to remove the Trinamool Congress from power. Bhattacharya also criticized Banerjee’s government, asserting the people’s resolve to bring about a change in leadership.
