Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at the national-level ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’, women participants expressed their support for the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, passed in Parliament in September 2023, as a means to empower women and promote self-reliance.
The event, set to take place at Vigyan Bhawan at 11 a.m. on Monday, is expected to witness the participation of notable figures and accomplished women from various sectors like government, academia, science, sports, entrepreneurship, media, social work, and culture.
The gathering aims to convene a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss the role of women in India’s development journey and emphasize the significance of increased female involvement in decision-making processes.
Organized as part of the government’s broader initiative for women-led development, the program underscores the importance of women’s greater participation in leadership roles across different sectors, from grassroots governance to national Parliament.
