Bharat Bhavan, widely marketed as the world’s largest Indian vegetarian restaurant, has announced it is expanding to Irving, Texas — and the buzz in the Indian-American community is already building.
The restaurant, which operates its flagship location at 13355 Main St, Frisco, TX 75035, made the Irving announcement in late March 2026, teasing a “bigger, larger & wider” experience than what guests currently enjoy at its existing outlet.
What We Know About the Irving Location
Details about the Irving outpost remain limited for now. The brand has confirmed it is “coming soon” and has described the new destination as an elevated version of its already grand Frisco operation. No opening date has been officially announced yet.
The Frisco Flagship: Setting the Bar High
To understand what Irving can expect, look no further than Bharat Bhavan’s Frisco location — a sprawling 60,000-square-foot dining space complete with chandeliers and private dining areas. The all-vegetarian menu spans North and South Indian regional specialities, with over 20 varieties of dosa alone, including the show-stopping 70 mm Family Dosa, Benne Dosa, and Ghee Karam Dosa.
Starters like Paneer Ghee Roast, Edamame Shikampuri Kebab, and Paneer Cheese Momos have earned the restaurant a loyal following. Desserts such as Mango Mastani — mango puree served with ice cream — and Malai Kaza round out a menu that leans firmly into both comfort and celebration.
The atmosphere is described as upscale and vibrant, though peak weekend hours can bring long wait times and a lively, noisy dining room — a testament to its popularity.
A Growing Destination for the Indian-American Community
Irving, home to a significant and growing Indian-American population, is a natural next step for a brand of this scale. The expansion signals Bharat Bhavan’s ambition to become a landmark dining destination across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro.
