YSR Congress Party’s General Secretary, Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, stated that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lacks the moral authority to lead the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Lakshmi Parvathi, the second wife of TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), criticized Naidu for deviating from NTR’s principles. She accused Naidu of betraying NTR to gain control of the party.
Lakshmi Parvathi highlighted that TDP leaders are neglecting the core values of the party while commemorating Party Formation Day. She claimed that Chandrababu Naidu is steering the TDP without ethical standards, undermining NTR’s legacy. She labeled Naidu as a leader engaged in unethical practices, sidelining the party’s ideology and welfare vision.
The YSRCP General Secretary condemned Naidu for abandoning pro-poor policies like the Rs 2-per-kg rice scheme and using force against protests on electricity tariff hikes. She criticized the Chief Minister for failing to address misconduct allegations against TDP members. Additionally, she asserted that Naidu’s governance model falls short of the welfare and development initiatives of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
YSRCP MLC Mondithoka Arun Kumar echoed Lakshmi Parvathi’s sentiments, accusing Naidu of seizing control of TDP from NTR through deceit. He criticized TDP for its unethical political strategies and accused Naidu of appropriating welfare schemes initiated by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Arun Kumar emphasized the need for transparency in job creation claims made by Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.
