Zoomcar, a leading marketplace for car sharing listed on NASDAQ, has announced a strategic partnership with SPARKCARS, a prominent EV self-drive rental company.

The collaboration aims to bolster the availability of electric vehicles (EVs) for self-drive rentals, catering to the increasing demand for convenient and autonomous travel options.

Under this partnership, Zoomcar and SPARKCARS will roll out over 1,000 electric vehicles on Zoomcar’s platform across India within the next two years.

This expansion will encompass popular EV models like the TATA Nexon, Mahindra XUV 400, Citroen eC3, among others, offering users a diverse range of eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Beyond simply increasing the fleet of EVs available for rent, the partnership also emphasizes the economic and environmental advantages of EV rentals.

EV rentals are recognized for their economic benefits, with hosts enjoying high demand, special pricing, and lower costs due to minimal maintenance requirements.

Zoomcar and SPARKCARS are committed to providing guests with sustainable transportation options, contributing to a cleaner and greener future, as articulated in the companies’ joint statement.

Greg Moran, CEO and Co-Founder of Zoomcar, expressed pride in aligning with SPARKCARS to facilitate the evolution towards a cleaner, greener future. He highlighted that the partnership not only expands the EV offerings but also empowers guests with sustainable choices and lucrative economic opportunities for EV hosts compared to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

Mehul Agrawal, CEO and Co-Founder of SPARKCARS, echoed Moran’s sentiments, expressing confidence in achieving shared goals at an accelerated pace, in line with India’s climate commitments and the Prime Minister’s Mission Life initiative.
