Guwahati, July 13 (IANS) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said the state’s three-tier cancer care programme has significantly improved cancer treatment outcomes, with the survival rate reaching 62 per cent, which is substantially higher than the national average.Sharing the achievement on social media, the Chief Minister attributed the improved survival rate to timely screening, early diagnosis and prompt treatment under the state’s integrated cancer care model.”Our 3-tier canc…
