Chennai, Jan 8 (IANS) The Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai (RMC), said that the well-marked low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression and is moving west-northwestwards at a speed of approximately 18 kmph. Kolkata, Dec 29 (IANS) Kolkata and several parts of West Bengal on Monday woke up to a blanket of fog, with temperatures dropping further and cold conditions intensifying towards the end of the year.The minimum temperature in Kolkata settled at 13.5 degrees Celsius, 0.3 degrees below normal.
